I have been using this for over 10 years and it's a nice and quick way to add some thickness to your hair. I have not noticed any side-effects while using it. The color "dark brown" is true to its name, it is a nice dark brown color that blends into your hairline. If you are between medium brown and dark brown, I think it is better to go with dark as medium brown has some greenish tint on my hair.
